Privacy Policy — iVeç

iVeç is a private photo and video vault for iPhone. This policy explains, in plain language, how the app handles your information. In short: iVeç does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. Everything stays on your device.

No data leaves your device

iVeç contains no networking code. It does not connect to the internet, and it has no servers. It does not use accounts, cloud storage, analytics, advertising, or any third‑party software development kits (SDKs). Because of this, none of your content or information is ever uploaded, transmitted, or seen by us or anyone else.

What the app stores, and where

• Your photos and videos are encrypted with AES‑256‑GCM and stored only in the app’s private, sandboxed storage on your iPhone.
• Your albums, thumbnails, and the item index are likewise encrypted and stored only on your device.
• Your PIN is never stored. It is processed on‑device (via PBKDF2) solely to derive the key that unlocks your vault. We cannot recover it.
• Face ID / Touch ID: if you enable biometric unlock, the vault key is stored in the iPhone’s device‑only Keychain, protected by the Secure Enclave. Apple’s biometric system never shares your biometric data with the app or with us.

Camera and photo library access

• The camera is used only when you choose to capture into the vault, or if you enable the optional intruder‑capture feature.
• Photo library access is used only when you choose to import items, or to save a copy back to your library. The app accesses only what you select.
• The optional intruder‑capture feature, if you turn it on, takes a front‑camera photo after repeated wrong PIN entries and stores it, encrypted, only on your device. These images are never transmitted anywhere.

Backups

Your encrypted vault is included in your normal iPhone backup (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) so it can be restored to a new device. Those backups are handled entirely by Apple under Apple’s terms; the vault contents remain encrypted, and your PIN is still required to open them. We have no access to your backups.

Children’s privacy

iVeç does not collect any data from anyone, including children.

Data deletion

Because nothing is collected or stored off your device, there is nothing for us to delete. Deleting the app from your iPhone removes its encrypted storage. Individual items can be deleted at any time inside the app.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
